Walkthrough to Delete Your Apple ID
Delete your Apple ID in 14 easy steps.
1. Access the Apple ID website
Go to the Apple ID website by clicking the following URL: https://appleid.apple.com/
2. Sign in to your account
Click the “Sign In” button located at the top right corner.
You can also access the sign-in page by clicking the following URL: https://appleid.apple.com/sign-in.
Enter your email address and password.
Enter the One-time password (OTP) code sent to your phone.
3. Click “Privacy”
Click the “Privacy” link located at the bottom of the left column under your profile.
You can also access the privacy settings by clicking the following URL: https://appleid.apple.com/account/manage/section/privacy.
4. Click “Your Data” and “Manage Your Data”
Once in the Privacy menu, scroll down to the section “Your Data” and click “Manage your data.”
You can also access this menu by clicking the following URL: https://privacy.apple.com/.
5. Sign into your account
You will be redirected to a new page where you will be required to enter your email, password, and the new verification code sent to your phone.
6. Click “Request to Delete your account”
You will be redirected to the “Manage your data” menu.
Scroll down to the bottom of the page, and under “Delete your account,” click the link “Request to delete your account.”
7. Provide a reason for your request
You will be redirected to an informational page where Apple will tell you more about the account deletion process and how deleting your account will affect your Apple services.
Scroll down to the bottom and select a reason for your account deletion request from the dropdown menu.
Click “Continue.”
8. Click “Continue”
Apple will redirect you to another informational page. Make sure you read everything before advancing to the next step.
Scroll down and click “Continue.”
9. Agree to Deletion Terms & Conditions and click “Continue”
You will be redirected to the “Deletion Terms & Conditions” page. Read carefully through the document, then click on the checkmark under it.
Click “Continue.”
10. Choose how you want to be contacted
You will be asked to select the best contact option in case Apple needs to contact you during the process of closing your account.
Select the most suitable option.
Click “Continue.”
11. Save the access code
Apple will provide you with an access code that is unique and linked to your account in case you need to get in touch with them for any reason after this process.
This code will be used in the next step, so keep it at hand.
12. Enter the access code
Enter the code provided to you in the previous step.
Click “Continue.”
13. Click “Delete account”
Click the “Delete account” button.
14. Sign out from your account
You will be redirected to an informational page where Apple will provide useful information regarding the deletion process.
Click “Sign out.”
Congratulations! Your Apple ID account is now in the process of being deleted!
