What Is the Do Not Call List Alabama?
You won’t find the Alabama Do Not Call List (or the Alabama DNC List, Do Not Call Registry Alabama, Do Not Call Alabama List, etc.)
The state merged its Do Not Call Register Alabama with the national Do Not Call List.
Alabama residents should register their cell and home phone numbers on the national DNC List. Business numbers are exempt from the list.
After you register with the national DNC List, telemarketers should (i.e., they’re legally required to) stop calling you within 31 days (however, some telemarketers are not subject to the national DNC List – see the ‘Exceptions’ section for more information).
Once you put your number on the national DNC List, it’ll remain there indefinitely. You’ll only need to re-register if you remove your phone number from the list yourself or if your phone is disconnected.
Exceptions
The following calls are allowed under the national DNC list:
- Political calls
- Charitable calls
- Survey calls
- Debt collection calls
- Informational calls
- Calls from businesses you have an existing relationship with
- Calls for which you’ve given prior written consent.
