What Is the Do Not Call List Arizona?
It doesn’t exist. There’s no such thing as the Arizona Do Not Call Registry.
Instead of maintaining its own Do Not Call Registry, Arizona uses the national Do Not Call List. As such, Arizona residents should sign up for the national Do Not Call List.
Having your phone number on the national DNC List should reduce the amount of unsolicited telemarketing calls you receive. Telemarketers are legally obliged to stop calling/texting you within 31 days of your phone number appearing on the list (with some exceptions).
You only need to register once. Your number will remain on the national DNC List indefinitely unless you remove it or it is deactivated.
Exceptions
You can still receive the following calls, even if your name is on the national DNC List:
- Political calls
- Charitable calls
- Survey calls
- Debt collection calls
- Informational calls
- Calls from businesses you have an existing relationship with
- Calls for which you’ve given prior written consent.
Arizona Do Not Call List Registration
There’s no such thing as the state of Arizona Do Not Call List (Arizona DNC List).
However, even though you can’t sign up for the Do Not Call Register Arizona, that doesn’t mean there’s nothing you can do against unwanted telemarketing calls.
Arizona residents who want to stop unwanted telemarketing calls should sign up for the national DNC List.
Read our blog post on how to register with the national DNC list for more information.
What to Do If You’re Still Getting Unsolicited Calls
The national DNC List will only stop legitimate telemarketers from contacting you. Scammers will likely continue to call you, even if your phone number is on the national DNC List.
The best thing you can do to stop scammers from calling/texting you is to opt out from people search sites and data brokers, i.e., companies that list your personal information, including your phone numbers, on their sites for (pretty much) anyone to see.
This is what a typical data broker profile looks like:
If you don’t want your personal information, including your phone number, to be easily findable online, you can opt out from most data brokers.
See our opt-out guides for step-by-step instructions on how to do it.
You’ll need to check back periodically, though. Data brokers will relist your data once they come across more of it.
