To opt out of FastBackgroundCheck, follow our FastBackgroundCheck opt-out guide below.
FastBackgroundCheck provides “free people search, reverse phone lookup, and address property records.”
It gets most of its information from public records, which, in theory, anyone can find with enough effort and time.
However, sites like FastBackgroundCheck put all your personal data in one place, making it easy and quick for anyone to find out where you live, work, or who your family members are (among other things).
Having your personal details on people search sites like FastBackgroundCheck can increase your risk of harassment, stalking, doxxing, phishing, and other threats.
If you don’t want your personal information to be accessible through FastBackgroundCheck, you can opt out.
Note: Data brokers regularly change their opt-out processes. If this process is inaccurate, please contact us directly so we can update it. As of May 2026, following this guide should let you opt from FastBackgroundCheck successfully.

What Is FastBackgroundCheck?

On its website, FastBackgroundCheck says it is “the best place to get FREE public records information you need.”
It provides information like:
- Cell phone numbers
- Age

Like most people search sites, FastBackgroundCheck gets this information from various sources, including public records and social media.
You can search for someone on FastBackgroundCheck by name, phone number, or address.
If you think your information is on FastBackgroundCheck, you’re probably also listed on ZoomInfo. Want to opt out of ZoomInfo? Read our ZoomInfo opt-out guide.
How to Opt Out of FastBackgroundCheck
FastBackgroundCheck is one of few data brokers that will not respect opt-out requests unless they come from a state with a comprehensive consumer privacy law. Most data brokers will still allow opt outs out of courtesy.
Check if your state is covered using this guide from the IAPP. If it isn’t, make sure you call your lawmakers and advocate for a privacy law. Otherwise, people search sites like FastBackgroundCheck will continue to publish your personal information with no way to opt out.
If you do have a comprehensive consumer privacy law in your state, you can opt out of FastBackgroundCheck in four steps.
1. Go to the FastBackgroundCheck website and click “Do Not Sell Or Share Your Personal Information” in the footer
Go to https://www.fastbackgroundcheck.com/.
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Do Not Sell My Personal Information” in the footer.

Scroll down to “2. How to Opt Out” and click “Visit our Opt-Out Form.”
Alternatively, you can access the opt out form by clicking the following URL: https://www.fastbackgroundcheck.com/optout.
2. Enter your email address
You will be redirected to a short online form.
From the dropdown, choose “The subject of this request.” Provide your name and an email address where you can be contacted to confirm the removal request (we recommend using a temporary email address).
Select the agreement box.
Complete the reCAPTCHA.
Click the “Submit” button.

3. Click the button in the email to continue your opt out
FastBackgroundCheck will send you an email to complete your privacy request.
Go to the email account you used on the opt-out form and find the email from FastBackgroundCheck.
Click the “Click here to fill out the form” button.

4. Fill out the second form
The email link will bring you to a second form which requests additional information.

Fill out all fields. Check the boxes at the bottom again and click “Submit.”
You will receive email confirmation that your FastBackgroundCheck opt-out request was submitted and you may be opted out in as few as three days.

What Happens After You Opt Out of FastBackgroundCheck?
After you complete your FastBackgroundCheck opt out, they should suppress your personal information. This means your details will no longer be findable when someone looks you up on the FastBackgroundCheck site.
However, removal isn’t necessarily permanent. People search sites tend to relist individuals when they find more information about them.
For this reason, opt outs need to be continuous. Be sure to recheck FastBackgroudnCheck once in a while to see if your profile was relisted. If it was, you’ll need to repeat the above opt-out process.
