What Is the Do Not Call List Idaho?
You won’t find a Do Not Call Idaho List. Instead of maintaining its own Do Not Call Register, Idaho has adopted the national Do Not Call List.
Idaho residents should, therefore, put their cell and home phone numbers on the national DNC List. You can’t place a business number on the list.
Telemarketers are required to stop calling/texting you within 31 days of your number appearing on the list.
Once a number is on the national DNC List, it’s there forever. You only need to re-register if your phone is disconnected or if you took your number off the list yourself.
Exceptions
The following calls are allowed under the national DNC List:
- Political calls
- Charitable calls
- Survey calls
- Debt collection calls
- Informational calls
- Calls from businesses you have an existing relationship with
- Calls for which you’ve given prior written consent.

If you want to go further in preventing unwanted calls and texts, you need to make your contact details hard to find.
Most people’s phone numbers are easily found online through sources like people search sites and data brokers.

Here’s what a typical data broker profile looks like:
The good news is that most data brokers allow you to “opt out,” i.e., remove your profile from their databases.
Our opt-out guides show you how to do that step-by-step.
Don’t forget to check back on data brokers and people search sites regularly, though. As soon as more of your data appears online, it’ll be relisted by these websites, and you’ll need to repeat the opt-out process.
