What Is the New Mexico Do Not Call List?

You won’t find a Do Not Call Registry New Mexico. Instead of maintaining its own Do Not Call Register, New Mexico has adopted the national Do Not Call List. 

Residents of New Mexico who want to receive fewer calls and texts should list their home and cell phone numbers on the national DNC List. The national DNC List does not cover business numbers. 

Within 31 days of getting your phone number on the national DNC List, telemarketers are required to stop contacting you. There are some exceptions, like charitable calls, which we list in the ‘Exceptions’ section below. 

Numbers remain on the DNC List indefinitely unless a) you remove them yourself or b) your number is disconnected.

Exceptions 

Under the national DNC List, the following calls are allowed: 

• Political calls
• Charitable calls
• Survey calls
• Debt collection calls
• Informational calls
• Calls from businesses you have an existing relationship with
• Calls for which you’ve given prior written consent.

New Mexico Do Not Call List Registration

There’s no such thing as a Do Not Call New Mexico List. 

New Mexico uses the national Do Not Call List, so New Mexico residents should register with the national list instead of looking for a Do Not Call List New Mexico (which doesn’t exist).

What to Do If You’re Still Getting Unsolicited Calls

The national Do Not Call List will hopefully reduce how many unwanted calls and texts you receive, but it can’t eliminate them 100%. 

The main reason why is that scammers don’t follow lists like the national DNC List. 

As a result, in addition to registering for the national DNC List, you should also remove your contact details from online sources, including people search sites and data brokers that publish your personal information, including your phone numbers, on their sites.
