What Is the Do Not Call List Nevada?

There’s no such thing as the state of Nevada Do Not Call List (Nevada DNC List, Do Not Call Register Nevada, Do Not Call Nevada List, etc.)

The state of Nevada has “adopted the Nevada portion of the National Do Not Call Registry.” 

Nevada residents should put their cell and/or home phone numbers on the national DNC List. 

As soon as your number is on the list, telemarketers must stop calling/texting you within 31 days (with some exceptions).  

Numbers stay on the national DNC List indefinitely. You’ll only need to re-register if your number is deactivated or you removed your number from the DNC List yourself. 

Exceptions 

The following calls are allowed under the national DNC List:

• Political calls
• Charitable calls
• Survey calls
• Debt collection calls
• Informational calls
• Calls from businesses you have an existing relationship with
• Calls for which you’ve given prior written consent.

Nevada Do Not Call List Registration

Since there’s no such thing as the Nevada Do Not Call Registry, there’s no way to register for it.

The state uses the national DNC List, so Nevada residents should sign up for that instead.

What to Do If You’re Still Getting Unsolicited Calls 

If your phone number is on the national DNC List but you’re still getting unwanted calls, they’re likely coming from scammers who don’t care about following the law or adhering to lists like the National DNC Registry. 

The only way to stop scammers from contacting you is to hide your phone number. 

Make sure your number isn’t available on personal blogs, social media sites, etc., and take the time to opt out of data brokers.

Data brokers (also known as people search sites) are companies that collect people’s personal information from a variety of sources (public records, social media, etc.), collate it into comprehensive profiles, and display these profiles on their site for (more or less) anyone to see, either for free or a small fee.
