What Is the Do Not Call List Minnesota?
The Do Not Call Registry Minnesota doesn’t exist. Instead of maintaining its own Do Not Call Register, Minnesota adopted the national Do Not Call List as its own.
Minnesota residents looking to limit the number of unwanted texts and calls they get should get their cell and home phone numbers on the national DNC List. Business numbers are exempt.
Telemarketers are required to stop contacting you within 31 days of your number appearing on the national DNC List (there are some exceptions, though, which we list in the section below).
Numbers remain on the national DNC registry indefinitely unless you remove them or your number is disconnected.
Exceptions
The national DNC List allows the following calls to be made:
- Political calls
- Charitable calls
- Survey calls
- Debt collection calls
- Informational calls
- Calls from businesses you have an existing relationship with
- Calls for which you’ve given prior written consent.
Minnesota Do Not Call List Registration
You won’t find the Do Not Call Minnesota List because Minnesota uses the national Do Not Call List as its own. Therefore, Minnesota residents who want to get fewer unwanted calls should register with the national DNC List.
