Delete your personal data from Xfinity in 17 steps.
1. Access the Xfinity website
Go to the Xfinity website by clicking the following link: https://www.xfinity.com/.
2. Click “Privacy Policy” in the footer
Scroll down to the bottom of the homepage and click the “Privacy Policy” link in the footer.
3. Click “Your rights and our limitations under federal laws”
Click the “Your rights and our limitations under federal laws” link under the ‘Table of Contents’ in the privacy policy.
4. Select your state
Select your state from the list displayed.
Note: If your state is not listed, select California since the steps outlined in this guide apply to all states.
5. Click “www.xfinity.com/privacy/requests
Click the privacy request link under the ‘California Notice at Collection’ section.
You can also access Xfinity’s request form by clicking the following link: https://www.xfinity.com/privacy/requests.
6. Select your state
Select the state where you reside from the drop-down menu.
Then, click the “Continue” button.
7. Select the Comcast group
Select the Comcast group that may have the personal information you are requesting to delete.
Click the “Continue” button.
8. Select the request type
Select ‘Deletion request’ as the type of request you would like to make.
Click the “Continue” button.
9. Confirm your access to the Xfinity website
Xfinity will ask you if you are able to sign into Xfinity.
If you have an account on the Xfinity website and can sign in, select “Yes.”
If you are unable to sign into the Xfinity website, select “No.”
Click the “Continue” button.
10. Sign in to your Xfinity account and/or read the disclaimer
If you selected “Yes” in Step 9, you will be prompted to sign in to your Xfinity account. Enter your Xfinity ID and click the “Let’s go” button.
If you selected “No” in Step 9, you will be prompted to read the disclaimer and agreements for deleting your personal information.
Then, click the “Continue” button.
11. Fill out the request form
You will be redirected to an online form. Fill it out.
Enter your first name, last name, street address, email address (we recommend using a temporary email address), and phone number.
Click the “Continue” button.
12. Copy the email verification code
Xfinity will send you an email with a verification code to your email.
Copy or take note of this code.
Note: This step is time-sensitive since the code is only active for 15 minutes.
13. Enter the code
Enter the verification code from the email sent by Xfinity.
Click the agreement checkbox.
Select the “Request deletion” button.
14. Click “I’m sure”
Xfinity will ask you if you are sure you want to submit a deletion request.
Click the “I’m sure” button to confirm your Xfinity data deletion request.
15. Click the email confirmation link
Your request has been received. However, you must take further action to verify your identity.
Xfinity will send you an email verification link.
Go to your email inbox and find the email from Xfinity.
Click the “Verify your identity” button.
Note: There is a 7-day time limit to complete the identity verification before the request expires.
16. Click “Text Me a Link”
For security purposes, you must verify your identity via text.
Your request will only be completed if your name and address match Xfinity’s records.
Click the “Text Me a Link” button.
17. Complete the verification process
Complete the verification process that will occur once you request Xfinity to text you a link.
After completing all verification steps, your Xfinity data should be deleted.
