Follow the guide below to learn how to complete an AnyWho opt out.

AnyWho is a free people search site providing information like names, addresses, phone numbers, and ages.

It is powered by Intelius, another people search site.

Anyone can use AnyWho and Intelius to find your personal data. Having your details displayed on people search sites can put you at an increased risk of identity theft, doxxing, harassment, stalking, and social engineering attacks.

You can remove your information from AnyWho by opting out of the Intelius database, which powers AnyWho. Keep on reading for step-by-step instructions on how to opt out of AnyWho.

Here’s what we cover:

What Is AnyWho?

AnyWho is a free people search site powered by Intelius (another people search site).

AnyWho

It lets you search for people by name or phone number.

AnyWho reports are limited to basic data like name, age, address, and partial phone numbers.

If you want to see more detailed information, AnyWho will redirect you to Intelius, another people search site where you can access more comprehensive people reports for a fee.

Since AnyWho is powered by Intelius, to opt out of AnyWho, you need to opt out of Intelius.

If you think your information is on AnyWho, you’re probably also listed on SpyFly. Want to opt out of SpyFly? Read our SpyFly opt-out guide.

What Happens After You Opt Out of AnyWho?

Once you opt out of AnyWho via Intelius, your personal data will be suppressed on both sites. This means your details won’t be findable through either the AnyWho or Intelius website.

However, this might not always be the case. If Intelius (which powers AnyWho) comes across more of your personal data, they will relist your profile, and people will again be able to find your personal details.

To stop this from happening, you need to revisit Intelius once in a while. If you notice that your data is relisted, you’ll have to repeat the Intelius opt-out process.

Alternatively, you can subscribe to a data broker removal service such as DeleteMe to have privacy experts perform opt-outs from Intelius and other people search sites on your behalf.

AnyWho Opt Out FAQs

Here are some common questions people have about opting out of AnyWho.

What is AnyWho used for?

AnyWho, like any other people search site, can be used for a variety of purposes. Some use cases that AnyWho lists on its homepage include searching for an old friend, figuring out who an unknown caller is, and verifying an address.

However, people search sites like AnyWho can also be used for more malicious reasons, like stalking, harassment, doxxing, identity theft, and phishing scams.

For this reason, it’s recommended that you remove your name from AnyWho and other people search directories.

Is AnyWho a safe website?

Yes, AnyWho is a safe website in the sense that visiting it is unlikely to infect your device with malware.

If you’re not comfortable with the idea of your personal details being easily findable online, you should opt out of AnyWho and other people search sites. See our AnyWho opt-out guide for step-by-step instructions.
