Lookupanyone describes itself as the “Best and Largest Public Records and Background Check Service Online.”

In other words, it’s a people search site that lets you find other people’s personal information, like contact details, employment history, and possible relatives.

Having your personal information accessible through people search sites can raise your risk of harassment, doxxing, stalking, identity theft, phishing emails, and other scams. It is a good idea to remove yourself from these sites.

Lookupanyone’s search engine is powered by TruthFinder, another people search site. To opt out of Lookupanyone, you need to opt out of TruthFinder.

What Happens After You Opt Out of Lookupanyone?

After you opt out of Lookupanyone via TruthFinder, your personal information will no longer show up when someone searches for your name through Lookupanyone or TruthFinder (or any of their sister sites).

However, some people search sites republish people’s personal data when they come across more of it as time goes on, even if they previously opted out. It’s a good idea to recheck these sites periodically to ensure your data was not relisted. If it was, you’ll need to opt out again.
