What Happens After You Opt Out of Nuwber?

Once you opt out of Nuwber, they will remove your records from their site, meaning that your personal data won’t be findable through Nuwber anymore.

However, your profile may reappear on Nuwber after a while. This is because people search sites like Nuwber collect your data from publicly available sources. If Nuwber comes across your personal details after you opt-out, they might relist your information.

As a result, you need to recheck people search sites regularly. If you notice that your profile was relisted, you’ll need to opt out again.

As an alternative to manual opt outs, you can subscribe to a data broker removal service such as DeleteMe, which will opt you out from people search sites on your behalf – and make sure you remain opted out.

Nuwber Opt Out FAQs

Here are some common questions people have about opting out of Nuwber.

How did Nuwber get my information?

Like any other data broker and people search site, Nuwber gets its information mostly from public records (including property records, marriage licenses, voter registration information, etc.).

Other sources of information used by people search sites include social media, purchase history from retailers, and mobile apps.

Is Nuwber legit?

Nuwber is legit in that it actually gives you access to people’s personal information, like their contact details, marital status, and information about relatives and neighbors.

However, the accuracy of this information can vary. As Nuwber says, “It is possible that in some cases information pulled from public data is outdated or incorrect and may appear along with up-to-date, correct information.”

Is Nuwber free?

Nuwber offers some personal data for free, like a person’s contact information, gender, age, relatives and family data, and social media profiles.

It also has a paid search option for information like court records.

How do I get my information off of Nuwber?

To opt out of Nuwber, go to the Nuwber site and search for your profile. Once you find your profile, click on it and then scroll to the bottom of the page. Click “Remove My Info” and then the “Opt Out” button.

You’ll need to share your email address with Nuwber to get a confirmation link (use a temporary email address if you can). Once the confirmation email goes to your email, click on the link within it.

Your opt-out request was sent, and your information should be removed from Nuwber in about 24 hours.

Is Nuwber a safe site?

Yes, Nuwber is a safe site in the sense that visiting it is unlikely to infect your device with malware.

However, having your data listed on any people search site puts you at an increased risk of harassment, stalking, doxxing, identity theft, social engineering attacks, and other threats.

Is Nuwber legal?

Yes, Nuwber is legal. This is because it pulls together data that’s already publicly available.

No federal law in the US currently regulates the data broker industry.

However, you can opt out of Nuwber and other people search sites and data brokers. To learn how to do so, refer to our opt out guides.

Why does Nuwber have my info?

Nuwber has your information because it scraped it from publicly available sources like public records and social media.
