Mugshots.com collects booking photos from public records and posts them online. 

It is impossible to remove information from Mugshots com unless your case was expunged, sealed, ordered to be destroyed, you experienced identity theft, or a family member whose profile was on Mugshots com has passed away. 

In some cases, like if you had a favorable disposition (e.g., you were determined not guilty or acquitted) or a non-favorable disposition, you can have your case on Mugshots com updated.

According to Mugshots.com themselves, they’re a “Google for Mugshots.”

In other words, it’s a site that collects and publishes arrest records and booking photographs (mugshots) in one place. 

Mugshots com profiles display information like:

  • Mugshot.
  • Name.
  • Aliases.
  • Gender.
  • Race.
  • Age. 
  • Height and weight.
  • Hair and eye color. 
  • Registration date. 
  • Registration ID.
  • Whether they’re violent. 
  • Home address.
  • Work address. 
  • Charges. 
  • And more. 

In the past, it was possible to pay between $399 and $1799 to have your Mugshots.com record removed. 

Today, it is only possible to remove your information from Mugshots com in certain cases. Specifically, you can opt out of Mugshots com if: 

  • Your case was expunged, sealed, or ordered to be destroyed.
  • You experienced identity theft.
  • A family member whose information is on Mugshots com has died. 

Otherwise, it is not possible to remove your record from Mugshots com.

How to Complete a Mugshots com Removal

In the search bar on the right, enter your name.

Click the “Search” button.

2. Find your listing 

You will see a list of results.

Find your listing and click your name. 

Note: Don’t click “Search Arrest Records” on the right, as doing so will bring you to another mugshot site.

3. Copy your Mugshots com ID

Scroll until you see your Mugshots com ID (under ‘External Links’). 

Write down or otherwise copy the ID number.

4. Gather the necessary court documentation 

Collect relevant court documentation. 

The documentation must be legible, signed by a judge, and sealed by the court. 

If you’re opting out a family member who has died, you need to submit a certified copy of their death certificate (signed by the proper authority and legible). 

5. Email mugshots.com1@gmail.com 

Send your Mugshots com removal request to mugshots.com1@gmail.com

Include your Mugshots com ID and relevant court documentation. 

If Mugshots com approves, your record will be removed free of charge.

How to Update Your Mugshots.com Listing

If you can’t remove your Mugshots com listing, you may still be able to update it. 

Mugshots com will update listings if you had a:

  • Favorable disposition (not guilty, dismissal, acquitted, exonerated, etc.) 
  • Non-favorable disposition (if you have satisfied all court requirements, fines, finished probation or a time-served order, etc.)

1. Go to Mugshots com and search for your listing 

Go to Mugshots.com. 

In the search bar on the right, enter your name.

2. Find your listing 

You will see a list of results.

Find your listing and click your name. 

Note: Don’t click “Search Arrest Records” on the right, as doing so will bring you to another mugshot site.

Scroll until you see your Mugshots com ID (under ‘External Links’). 

Write down or otherwise copy the ID number.

4. Gather the necessary court documentation 

Collect relevant court documentation. 

For: 

  • Favorable disposition: The disposition documentation must be signed by a judge, sealed by the court, and legible.
  • Non-favorable disposition: The court satisfaction documents must be legible and signed by the court.

Send your Mugshots com removal request to docverify1@gmail.com

Include your Mugshots com ID and relevant court documentation. 

If Mugshots com approves, your record will be updated free of charge.

Your disposition/case update will be displayed prominently on all pages relating to your arrest.

What Happens After You Complete a Mugshots.com Removal?

After you complete a Mugshots com removal, the website will delete your listing if you satisfy all the requirements.
