How to Delete Your Craigslist Account

To delete your Craigslist account, you must complete a request process. After that, your Craigslist account should be deleted after a waiting period.

Walkthrough to Delete Your Craigslist Account

Delete your Craigslist account in eight steps.

1. Access the Craigslist website

Go to the Craigslist website by clicking the following link: https://www.craigslist.org/.

2. Sign into your Craigslist account

Click the “acct” icon in the top right to sign in to your Craigslist page.

Enter your account details to sign in to the Craigslist website.

3. Click “privacy” in the footer

Scroll to the bottom of the page.

Click the “privacy” link in the footer.

4. Click the “craigslist.org/about/ccpa” link

You will be redirected to Craigslist’s privacy policy.

Scroll to Section 4 and click the “craigslist.org/about/ccpa” link to access the request form.

Note: Alternatively, you can email Craigslist with your request to ccpa@craigslist.org.

5. Click “Delete my data”

Click the “Delete my data” link to submit your request.

6. Click “Send Message”

Click the “Send Message” button to submit your request.

7. Click the email confirmation link

A message will appear on the screen notifying you to check your email inbox.

Go to your email inbox.

Find the email from Craigslist and click the link within it.

Note: This is a time-sensitive link that is only available for 60 minutes.

8. Message Craigslist

Now that you’ve requested Craigslist to delete your account information, send them a message using this link to request the deletion of your Craigslist account: https://boston.craigslist.org/contact?step=form&reqType=help_account

Enter your name, the email address associated with your Craigslist account, the subject of your message (for example, “Please delete my Craigslist account”), and a description of your request.

Click the “Send Message” button.

You have completed a craigslist.com account deletion request.
