To delete your Spotify account, you need to change your account settings. After that, your Spotify account should be deleted immediately.

Walkthrough to Delete Your Spotify Account
Delete your Spotify account in seven steps.
1. Access the Spotify website
Go to the Spotify website by clicking the following link: http://www.spotify.com.
2. Sign in to your Spotify account
Click the “Log In” button in the top right to access your Spotify account.
3. Click your account icon and “Account”
Click the account icon in the top right.
Then, select the “Account” link from the drop-down menu.
4. Click “Close Account” under ‘Security and privacy’
Scroll to the ‘Security and privacy’ section.
Select “Close account.”
5. Click “Continue to close your account”
Spotify will ask you if this is the account you want to close.
If it is the correct account, click the “Continue to close your account” button.
6. Click the agreement box and “Continue to close your account”
Read the disclaimer that tells you what will happen when you close your Spotify account.
Click the agreement checkbox.
Click the “Continue to close your account” button
7. Click the email confirmation link
Spotify will send you an email confirmation link.
Go to your email inbox and find the email from Spotify.
Click the “Close my account” button to confirm your Spotify deletion request.
Note: This step is time-sensitive and must be completed within 24 hours.
You will see a confirmation message saying your request to delete your Spotify account has been successfully processed, and you will no longer be able to sign in.
It may take up to 7 days to permanently delete your account.
You have deleted your Spotify account.
