Information.com describes itself as “an online search service that generates reports about individuals using public records and information stored on government databases.”
Basically, it’s a people search site.
Information.com lets you find personal information about individuals, including their names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses, among other things.
Although this information is already publicly available (Information.com gets its data from public records, social media, and similar sources), having it all in one place makes it easier to find.
As a result, having your data on Information.com can put you at an increased risk of doxxing, stalking, harassment, social engineering, and other threats.
If you don’t want your personal details to be findable through Information.com, you can opt out.
We walk you through the exact Information.com opt-out process below.
