There are a few ways to go through with the Win It Back mailing list removal, which you’ll need to do if you’d like to stop receiving mail from the conservative Republican super political action committee (PAC).
Our guide below explains how to unsubscribe from unwanted Win It Back mail (physical and email).
How to Unsubscribe from the Win It Back Mailing List
When you receive physical mail from the Win It Back PAC, look for a contact number. Call it and ask to be removed from the mailing list.
You can also email Win It Back with your opt-out request at hello@winitbackpac.com or write to them at Win It Back PAC, 2001 L St. NW, Ste 600, Washington, DC 20036, United States.
Depending on where you live, you might have additional rights.
In Virginia, for example, residents can exercise their right to request information deletion by emailing Win It Back at hello@winitbackpac.com or by submitting a Data Subject Access Request Form.
In both cases, you should be prepared to provide additional personal information to verify your identity.
What to Do If You Keep Receiving Win It Back Mail
If you continue to receive physical mail from the Win It Back PAC, you can write “Refused: Return to sender” on the front of any unopened mail with a return address and put it back in the mail.
Another way to stop receiving mail from Win It Back and other super PACs is to vote early. Doing so will prompt the county voter list to be updated, which will effectively remove you from the undecided voter list for political campaigns.
While it may take some time for the county voter list to be updated, it’s a good way to limit the amount of political mail you receive in general.
How to Unsubscribe from the Win It Back Email List
Unsubscribing from the Win It Back email list can be done directly in your inbox.
Open an email from the super PAC and look for the “Unsubscribe” link at the top of it next to the sender’s name or at the bottom of the email.
Alternatively, you can request to be unsubscribed by emailing them at hello@winitbackpac.com.
If, for some reason, you still receive Win It Back emails after taking these steps, you can manually delete them by moving any new emails you get to the junk folder or simply blocking the email address altogether.
How to Stay Off the Win It Back (and Other Super PACs) List for Good
If you’d like to keep off the mailing lists of super PACs, marketing companies, and junk mail campaigns altogether, your best option is to opt out of data broker databases. Doing so will prevent your contact information from being sold to third parties.
Data brokers are companies that collect personal data and sell it to any interested entity, whether it’s politicians, phone scammers, or identity thieves.
Fortunately, you can opt out of data brokers. However, you’ll need to opt out of every single data broker that has a profile on you. In addition, you’ll need to repeat the process regularly, as data brokers are known for reactivating profiles when new information about you is found online.
As an alternative to opting out of data brokers yourself, you can subscribe to a data broker removal service such as DeleteMe to allow data removal experts to handle the opt-out process on your behalf.
