PropertyIQ Opt Outs FAQs

Here are some common questions that people have about PropertyIQ.

What is PropertyIQ?

PropertyIQ is a data broker that shares property information reports. Users can find reports based on a specific address, street, city, or state.

Information PropertyIQ provides in its reports includes (but is not limited to):

  • Homeowner details like full name, phone numbers, and past addresses.
  • Home sale information, including home value.
  • Current residents.
  • Mortgage records.
  • Property taxes.
  • Neighbor information.
  • Data on foreclosures and pre-foreclosures.

Anyone can get this information for free. For example, home buyers, sellers, and investors might use PropertyIQ to research the real estate market and make informed real estate decisions that allow for better “insight, efficiency, and profitability.”

At the same time, data brokers like PropertyIQ can also be used by criminals and other third parties, like real estate agents in a slow housing market looking to generate leads for off-market properties through household trends like financial distress.

As such, it’s a good idea to opt out of this data broker site.

Where does PropertyIQ get its data from?

Like all data broker sites, PropertyIQ collects its information from various sources across the web, including public property records.

How reliable is PropertyIQ?

It depends on who you ask. While some people say that PropertyIQ reports are very reliable, others say that none of the information PropertyIQ has about them is correct. Either way, if your information appears on PropertyIQ, you should opt out of their website.

Is PropertyIQ legit?

PropertyIQ is legit in that it gives you property data for free. However, the accuracy of this data can vary.

How do I remove my information from PropertyIQ?

To remove your information from PropertyIQ, follow these steps:

  1. Go to https://www.propertyiq.com/ and enter your address into the search box to find your listing.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of your listing and click “Opt Out.”
  3. Complete the Opt out form and click “Remove All Personal Information.”
  4. Receive successful PropertyIQ opt out confirmation.

Is PropertyIQ free?

PropertyIQ is free, meaning that anyone can access information about you and your property using this site.
