To opt out of TargetSmart, you must complete an online form and verify your request by clicking on an email confirmation link. Your request should be processed after a waiting period.

Opt out of TargetSmart in five steps. 

1. Go to the TargetSmart website and click “Do Not Sell My Personal Information” in the footer 

Go to https://targetsmart.com/ and scroll to the bottom of the page. 

Click the “Do Not Sell My Personal Information” button in the footer.

2. Click “Do Not Sell My Personal Information” 

A new tab will open with opt-out options for California and Nevada residents.

Click the “Do Not Sell My Personal Information” button under the state you live in.

3. Fill out the form

You will be redirected to an online form. Fill it out. 

Enter your email address and then enter it again to confirm it.

Click the “I’m not a robot” checkbox. 

Click the “Submit” button.

4. Click the email confirmation link

TargetSmart will send you a confirmation message with a verification link to your email.

Open a new browser tab and go to your email inbox. Find the email from TargetSmart and click “Verify email and complete request form.”

Note: If you don’t see the email from TargetSmart, check your spam folder.

5. Fill out the (more detailed) form

You will now be redirected to another form. Fill out all the mandatory fields. 

Enter your first name, last name, address, city, state, and zip code.

Click the box beside “I declare that the information provided is correct to the best of my knowledge, and that I am entitled to make the request identified above.” 

Leave the third-party request box empty. 

Click the “I’m not a robot” checkbox. 

Click the “Submit” button.

TargetSmart will email you to confirm receipt of your request and will contact you within 10 days to verify your identity before processing your request.
